  cryptsetup hangs after kernel upgrade to 3.13.0-72.115

Bug description:
  After upgrading to the proposed kernel for Trusty (3.13.0-72.115) I
  cannot unlock a luks formatted usb drive. The cryptsetup process seems
  to hang with the following stack:
