Title:
wireless scanner function depends on kernel-version

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I am using Ubuntu Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS

I run into problems, when I try to operate (the printer or) the
scanner of my Canon Pixma MG3250 via wireless connection using the
  driver scangearmp.

This malfunction correlates with the kernel-version I'm using.

Until kernel 3.13.0-65 everything was OK.

3.13.0-66 didn't work, the scanner was not found.

  3.13.0-67 did work again
  3.13.0-68 did still work

3.13.0-70 didn't work anymore, the scanner could not be found
  3.13.0-71 same as above

(Ubuntu 15.10 with kernel 4.2.0-19 works fine !!!) <<<<< update
  11.12.2015

Reinstallation of driver package didn't change anything.
