  nvidia-settings crashes when selecting "Thermal Settings"

Status in nvidia-settings package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: nvidia-settings

  In nvidia-settings (256.25-0ubuntu1~xup2~lucid) on Ubuntu 10.04 64
  bit, when selecting "Thermal Settings" from the LH menu, the
  application creashes.

  Error message:

  Floating point exception

  I started having this problem after upgrading from nvidia driver 195
  to 256.
