  since kernel update usb ports are not available anymore

Bug description:
  since kernel update 3.13.0-5x the usb ports on Acer E1-532 notebooks
  do not respond.

  With the kubuntu LIVE iso 14.04.1 usb works fine.

  I am not the only one having this problem !
