[Bug 896922] Re: Lenovo L520 - "psmouse.c: touchpad at isa0060/serio4/input0 lost sync" and stops working for seconds

@ Christopher: sorry, I mixed up the release name. I meant 11.10 Oneiric
and not Lucid. As I already stated, all releases < 11.04 won't work
because Sandybridge Support was added after the 10.10 release. If you
want I can test 11.04 if it helps somehow.

Nevertheless I believe that my upstream bug-report was valid as it
features exactly the same symptoms as the Lenovo L520. Moreover, it
contains reports of several users with an Lenovo L520. It seems to hit a
number of Synaptic touchpad models / firmwares, so it is not uncommon
that different laptop models are affected. So I propose to relink the
upstream bug, so Ubuntu users can reach out to upstream.

Bug description:
There are a lot of open bug-reports concerning this defect, but due to
the most popular report was closed by developers, with the demand to
open a new report if this persists, I open a new bug-report.

When using the touchpad, it's often not working and stucks for seconds, in short, it is unusesable.
This bug still happens in Ubuntu 11.10 on a Lenovo L520 with 3.0.0-13-generic. Its a Synaptics touchpad, maybe it's kernel bug.

  Dmesg produces the following output:
