This may not be directly bcmwl-kernel-source caused but caused by
another package. I noticed after my wireless has quit showing
up/working, that when I arrived at work the next day, the hardwired
ethernet port on my Belkin Thunderbolt 2 hub was also no longer showing
up in Network Manager (or in general), only my Dell USB ethernet dongle
appears to be working.
