Title:
miniDisplay VGA adapter doesn't work after switching to 4.2 kernel
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
After switching to Ubuntu 15.10, my miniDisplay port adapter doesn't work anymore, or in rare cases , it works, but it gives a maximum resolution of 1024x768 (whereas the monitor is 1920x1080).
Also, when I connect my iphone5 I cannot use the USB tethering anymore.
If I boot with the older kernel, everything works as expected.
Hardware info:
system - dell xps 12 9q33
minidisplay adapter - minidisplay to vga, made by apple
iphone - iphone5 with latest ios (9.1)
new (non-working) kernel = 4.2.0-18
old (working) kernel = 3.19.0-33
