[Bug 1181927] Re: [Aspire V5-431]13.04: Brightness control visible but does nothing
Sorry I wasn't clear.
The test I made from the saucy DVD was with upgraded BIOS (1.22). It's
doesn't work right of the box, I am guessing that the kernel parameters
above would make it work. That's how I made it work on my current
raring.

Bug description:
Brightness control visible but does nothing on 13.04...
The brightness up down buttons shows the overlay brightness icon going
up and down but it does not change the brightness (backlight).
I have tried adjusting the kernel options acpi_osi=<x> and
acpi_backlight=<y> (that did work with 12.10) to make it work but to
no avail.
