[Bug 1546975] Re: Suspend failure/crash on Macbook Air 5, 2
Does this bug go away if you boot into the prior kernel?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest
v4.5 kernel[0].
If this bug is fixed in the mainline kernel, please add the following
tag 'kernel-fixed-upstream'.
If the mainline kernel does not fix this bug, please add the tag:
'kernel-bug-exists-upstream'.
Once testing of the upstream kernel is complete, please mark this bug as
"Confirmed".
Thanks in advance.

Title:
Suspend failure/crash on Macbook Air 5,2
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Until a few weeks ago suspend worked perfectly on my 2012 11" MacBook
Air. Since that time however it has become very unreliable.
If I close the lid to suspend and reopen within a short period of time
it resumes and all is fine. If left longer eg overnight then on
opening the lid the system is off and on power on cold boots. last
will show this as a crash.
