Ok - last test.
While connected to the alpine car device, and disconnecting the Bluetooth on the phone manually, I can avoid the repetitive 1 bug showing up.

Bug description:
  Ubuntu Touch OTA 9 on BQ Aquarie E4.5
  When the phone runs for a while - as soon as a text-field is selected and the virtual keyboard shows up, it is automatically filled with 1 (number 1). No possibility to interrupt the process.  All applications using the virtual keyboard are affected.
  By example the dial-pad is not affected but browser, search button etc. everything gets filled with 1.

  Only fix so far is to reboot the phone.
  Cause yet unknown, and no direct way identified that triggers this behavior.
  Still searching.
