Can you please include some logs, relevant to this issue.The minimum information that should be included in a bug report:
$ uname -a > uname-a.log
$ lsb_release -a
$ cat /proc/version_signature > version.log
$ dmesg > dmesg.log
$ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log

You can use the shell command : apport-collect BUGNUMBER

  Thinkpad Z60m - in Ubuntu 14.04.2 PCMCIA slot is no longer detected

Status in linux-firmware package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  In the version Ubuntu Gnome 14.04.1 the PCMCIA slot works fine in my
  notebook Z60m. In the version Ubuntu 14.04.2, 14.04.3, 14.04.3 and
  higher, the PCMCIA slot is no longer recogniced or rather no longer
  detected.
