Title:
usb keyboard does not work in debian installer

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
in ubuntu 15.10 and 14.04 64bit server iso images, the installation
with usb keyboard is impossible, because the keyboard stops working
  after grub (at language selection).

i have replicated this behaviour on HP Microserver N36L, HP
Microserver N40L, HP Microserver N54L, Gigabyte z87x-d3h and many
  others i tried.

No bios/uefi settings can fix this. it does not matter whether they
keyboards are connected to usb2 or usb3 ports.

this behaviour does NOT happen on 14.04 ubuntu mini isos (MinimalCD),
but these don't support uefi boot.

it is possible this bug is the same as bug # 1244176 which is closed
