  linux: auto-generate the reconstruct information from the git tag

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  We need to reconstruct the tree to replace links and remove deleted
  files as these can and do affect behaviour of the build when building
  on a buildd from a source built with a .orig.

  We should be able to intuit all of this information from the git delta
  from the original versions.
