Title:
Request to cherry-pick uvcvideo patch for Xenial kernel support of
RealSense camera
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Triaged
Bug description:
The Raspberry-Pi form factor compatible UP board from Aaeon now
supports RealSense depth enabled camera (http://www.up-
board.org/kickstarter/up-intel-realsense-technology/) , and Intel has
made a significant contribution to open source by supporting Robot
Operating System code enabling use of that camera. The current v4.4
kernel has all patches merged to support RealSense camera, except v4.5
change-id 120c41d3477a23c6941059401db63677736f1935 from
https://github.com/torvalds/linux.git, which has a few minor editions
to support required camera depth format.
Can you please include this cherry-pick in the official Xenial kernel
for 16.04 LTS? This would enabled customers to avoid having to hand-
patch uvcvideo.ko
