[Bug 1543165] Re: kernel: update kernel configuration
For clarity it did also enable NUMA, though there are further
corrections to be made there. It also disabled a number of redundant
hardware options as requested. It did not change the ASYNC option which
I will discuss in the newly opened bug.

The below mentioned kernel configuration options are still not yet integrated into the Ubuntu kernel. In addition to the discussions on the skipper mailing list, hereby the bugzilla / launchpad to integrate and update the kernel configuration.
