Title:
  acer aspire 1 ZG8 built-in camera freezes at once and then not
  detected at all in all aps.

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Turn to ubuntu-mate from windows7 and it is great-faster-smoother.
  Problem with the built-in camera that if opened freezes immediately (I
  already reduced analysis and changed codecs but no improvement) and at
  second opening of any relevant application the camera is not at all
  detected (needs reboot but again freezes etc). Also built in
  microphone detected but does not seem to function. (Hardware is OK and
  the device is acer aspire one ZG8 with 1Gb ram - it's an "atom" ).
  Should i change the ubuntu or linux distribution or can be fixed? Many
  thanks in advance!
