Does this bug still occur on Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail"? Using any
version of Ubuntu, please run the following commands on that machine and
attach the output here:
lspci -vvnn
sudo dmidecode
I have reattached the xorg.log that you attached to the other bug
report. Can you confirm that it was generated on Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise
Pangolin" with a 3.8 kernel?

I recognize the problem over here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1047483 on a Packard Bell Easynote TK36-AV-105.

This laptop also contains a Integrated Intel GMA4500.
The black screen first appears in Ubuntu 11.04 and all verions
released since 11.04 (kernel 3.x?). There is a visual with bootoption
nomodeset.
