Title:
USB card reader GL3220 incompatibility with VL800

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  I bought this http://www.ebay.com/itm/190656825949?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  It's simply two-in one device; a VL800 PCIE to USB3.0 Root hub , and a GL3220 USB3.0 multi-card-reader.

  Problem:
The USB3.0 ports of VL800 work as expected. - no card is detected when inserted into the card-reader part.
If the card reader part is connected to any other USB port in the computer, it works as expected !

This proves, that these two components, assembled into a product, are
capable of working together - but won't do so on Ubuntu 12.04 -kernel
  3.2.0-25

Please help me help you find teh bug, I'll test and submit whatever
log you need if you tell me what to do.
