It has been observed a couple Ubuntu boots hang with the error:
kernel BUG at /build/linux-lts-vivid-xAeXSD/linux-lts-vivid-3.19.0/kernel/smpboot.c:134!

This is on Linux version 3.19.0-43-generic (buildd@lgw01-16) (gcc
version 4.8.2 (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) ) #49~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec
31 15:44:49 UTC 2015 (Ubuntu 3.19.0-43.49~14.04.1-generic 3.19.8-ckt10)

The fix for this bug is upstream commit
00df35f991914db6b8bde8cf09808e19a9cffc3d.

That commit has be cc'd to stable.  However, this fix is needed before
the commit comes down via the normal stable update process.
