[Bug 1570754] [NEW] Graphics freeze after 6 - 48 hours, applications carry on working
Public bug reported:
We're testing Intel Compute Stick (http://www.cnet.com/products/intel-
compute-stick/specs/) with Ubuntu 14.04 for our google chrome based
digital signage solution. Unfortunately, the graphics freeze after a
random period of time which I've noticed to be anything from 6 to 48
hours.
With the graphics frozen, the only thing I can do is move the mouse
pointer and everything else is stuck. I've set up SSH server on it and
after logging into the device I can see that all the applications are
still running as expected.
I doubt that it has anything to do with a faulty device as I was able to
reproduce it on 7 different compute sticks.
Kernel: 3.16.0-69-generic (but have also reproduced on 3.16.0-45-generic
and 3.16.0-70-generic)
