I don't remember seeing this with 3.11.0-6, but that's not worth much;
it may have just not become an issue for me that was worth reporting
until I was traveling (and therefore suspending/resuming more often) and
noticing a pattern.

FWIW, here's my history of kernel boots.  It looks like I first booted
3.11.0-7 on September 13.

  The laptop frequently suspends/resumes successfully; it's been
  suspended/resumed probably at least a dozen times since the last
  reboot.  I've seen intermittent suspend/resume failures before with
