[Bug 1577184] [NEW] dmidecode error on MacBook Pro: map beyond end of file

Public bug reported:

When I run from the terminal "sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name" on
a Macbook Pro (as per the instructions from here -
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro12-1/Wily#Remaining_issues_and_optimization_potential),
I get:

mmap: Can't map beyond end of file /sys/firmware/dmi/tables/DMI
Table is unreachable, sorry.

This is with a fully up to date Ubuntu 16.04 on a 2013 15" Macbook Pro.
I attached the DMI file to the issue.

** Affects: dmidecode (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
