  Resuming the OS after suspending it deletes all text and icons

Bug description:
  After I suspended my laptop and resumed it, all the text (directory
  names, file names, even the text in the shutdown or reboot prompt) is
  deleted or invisible. I need to reboot the system to have the text
  back.
