Almost the same issue here, is this related to the proprietary nvidia
driver? Before I installed the nvidia driver (v340.96), my laptop is
able to hibernate and resume although it does not always work perfectly.
In most cases, I need to push the power button to all the way power off
the machine, and sometimes it fails on the half way of resuming. But
hibernation/resume is no longer work with the nvidia driver installed.
