[Bug 872300] Re: bluetooth wizard has a step indicating "device setup failed"

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has
changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if
this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report
against it and we will take it from there.

** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
bluetooth wizard has a step indicating "device setup failed"

Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
when setting up a new bluetooth device, the wizard opens with a pane
on the left indicating the various steps. One of the "possible" steps
is "device setup failed". Now all the other steps make sense but this
glaring oversight indicates that one should not be confident about the
pairing process and expect failing as a logical progression of the
  process.

Is there no other way? I would think rather have some dynamic step so
that if the process fails, the text that says "device setup" changes
to "device setup failed" while the main pane explains. It makes no
sense having a permanent option saying "device setup failed" IT LOOKS
  BAD

Sorry for the delay in reporting the bug. Previous releases e.g. lucid
were fairly stable even in alpha but oneiric just got usable enough
for me after beta. only tried bluetooth now.
