[Bug 856737] Re: Unable to connect any bluetooth device

 

This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has
changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if
this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report
against it and we will take it from there.

  Unable to connect any bluetooth device

Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  When trying to setup new bluetooth connection gnome-bluetooth doesn't
  discover any bluetooth devices. All devices are set to visible
  (checked and rechecked). Tried with two phones and headset. NADA!
  Worked fine in 10.04, stopped working in 10.10 and now still doesn't
  work in 11.04. Hardware used is Bluetooth USB dongle. More info in
  attached lsusb and dmidecode.
