[Bug 891878] Re: iPhone bluetooth tethering only works the first time iPhone is paired
This is reported against an old version of Ubuntu and many things has
changed since then. Because of that we won't fix this issue however if
this behavior repeats on a modern version please fill a bug report
against it and we will take it from there.
** Changed in: bluez (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Invalid

Title:
iPhone bluetooth tethering only works the first time iPhone is paired
Status in bluez package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
I have been able to successfully tether my iPhone with my Ubuntu 11.10
laptop and I'm able to connect to the internet the first time that I
pair the laptop with my iPhone.
I disconnected from the iPhone using the network indicator and then
try to connect again and it will not connect not matter how many times
I try to connect. Even though at this point Ubuntu is disconnected
from the iPhone the iPhone still shows that there is 1 connection.
I try to open the Bluetooth preferences to see what I can do from
there but it now takes a very long time for the bluetooth preferences
to open and when they do it says that the bluetooth is turned off even
though it is not.
The only way to recover from this now is to restart the computer and
then open the bluetooth config and delete the iPhone pair. This way we
can re-pair the iphone and get the first connection to work again!
I have compiled a little video of the above steps so that you can see
for yourself. You can see it here: http://youtu.be/AemTmwYBvbE
If you need me to provide anything else just let me know.
Cheers
