[Bug 1540406] Re: warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file

Just got this for linux-signed-image-4.4.0-22-generic (4.4.0-22.40).

You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel
Packages, which is subscribed to linux-signed in Ubuntu.

warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file

Status in linux-signed package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
When running a dist-upgrade, I received the following warning:

  Setting up linux-signed-image-4.4.0-2-generic (4.4.0-2.16) ...
warning: file-aligned section .text extends beyond end of file
warning: checksum areas are greater than image size. Invalid section table?

Note: I've tried booting the kernel with dmesg enabled, it seems to
  boot just fine. See
  https://launchpadlibrarian.net/235948033/CurrentDmesg.txt for when I
  booted it.
