AACRAID: Request to include build 1.2.1-41052 into the next Ubuntu

Status in linux source package in Xenial:

Bug description:
I had an email exchange with Brian Fromme on including our latest
aacraid driver into the Ubuntu LTS releases. He suggested that I log a
ticket on Launchpad.
The most recent driver that is in the kernel upstream is 1.2.1- 41052 submitted to the upstream. The git link for the commit is below:
https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git/log/drivers/scsi/aacraid
Brian mentioned that the 16.04 release includes our older build of the
driver 41010.
When would be a good time to introduce our last released driver 41052?
We are also working on our next release, which is going out for
submission in a couple weeks to kernel upstream and it may take
another 3 weeks or so before it gets committed to kernel.org.
Thanks,
Gana
