an update to your computer's buggy, insecure, and outdated BIOS is
available (2.35). If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate does it change anything?

For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette
.

Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

Also, you don't have to create a new bug report.

Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible:
1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an apport-collect):
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement or not.
3) Please mark this report Status Confirmed.

If it's not reproducible, please mark this as Invalid.

Thank you for your understanding.

Title:
Middle mouse (wheel-click) button stopped working after upgrade to
  16.04

Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Since upgrading to 16.04 clicking the middle mouse button (scroll
wheel) on my Logitech M185 stopped working.

xev does not even show the event for clicking the wheel, while it
shows other button clicks and scroll wheel up/down events.

xinput list shows the USB receiver 2 times:

⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2	[master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4	[slave pointer (2)]
  ⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=9	[slave pointer (2)]
  ⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=10	[slave pointer (2)]
  ⎜ ↳ HID 046a:0023 id=13	[slave pointer (2)]

Does anyone have an idea how I can attempt to further debug that issue? Or maybe even a solution? Should I consider this issue a bug? Can I provide more info?
