Title:
  rt2860sta driver not working with network manager

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  The kernel driver, rt2860sta (RaLink RT2860 wireless network adapter),
  will not connect to WEP encrypted network using the network manager.

  The staging driver in kernel 2.6.31 works fine with Jaunty, but the
  rt2860sta driver is not working on the same computer (MSI WIND U100)
  using Karmic Netbook Remix and Karmic Kubuntu Netbook.

  The kernel driver is loaded, and SSIDs of brodcasted networks can be
  discovered, but device/driver is unable to connect to a non-
  broadcasted ssid which uses 64-bit WEP encryption (trying to use the
  network manager interface to manage connection).
