[Bug 1574845] Re: Hardware accelerated video decoding causes GPU crash (radeon driver)
Christopher,
I executed the command but I am not sure if it have gone ok. Is it
because I stayed with upstream kernel? Should I repeat it just let me
know.

Title:
Hardware accelerated video decoding causes GPU crash (radeon driver)
Status in linux package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
SMPlayer with vdpau output plays video ok, but after stopping video in
few seconds system freezes. I attach smplayer.log with syslog messages
during crash.
The same happens with Kodi. I attach kodi.log with syslog messages
during crash.
Beside that system works ok, playing video wihout hardware acceleration works ok, GPU intensive games work stable.
