Bug description:
USB modeswitching works ok, and the network operator appears in the NM
menu, but it fails to connect.

Nm-applet needs to be updated upstream. See the same change for Gnome
  shell:

  https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687359

We also need libqmi packaged, see bug #1075801.
