Can you confirm THIS bug report is a duplicate of bug #954661?
This question because the bug #954661 by Daniel Jared Domiguez was found on a l321x machine when this #1182376 is found in a l322x.

  Brightness control does not work on this system.

  The value of brightness level indicator could be changed correclty by pressing brightness control keys,
  and the brightness level could be changed in "Brightness and Lock" as well. 

  However, no matter how you change it, the actual brightness level of
  this system remain the same.
