Title:
kernel panic while creating/loading the ram disk
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
On this system i get a kernel panic on every first cold boot, mostly with all the kernel 3 family, so its not very new.
Inside i have 2 hdds : 1 pata & 1 sata working alone ( no raid at all)
But with that new 3.8.0-6 kernel, booting in verbose mode, with that
first cold boot panic, i've seen several lines starting with md:
md ....... use raid=noautodetect
Here i'm surprised to see such message, due to some googling around
it, i've found that "autodetect" is deprecated since ages.
https://raid.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Tweaking,_tuning_and_troubleshooting
Can it be a side effect of that new change ?
