[Bug 1153368] Re: [SONY VAIO VGN-Z51XG/B] Suspend immediately wakes in 12.04

Suddenly the problem came back, out of nowhere. Going into suspend just didn't work anymore as it did after I installed the latest kernel.
So I just updated my bios, but to no effect.

The output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date

is:
F13
01/10/2012

Hope this help and hope you have an idea what I could do to make suspend
work again.

Title:
[SONY VAIO VGN-Z51XG/B] Suspend immediately wakes in 12.04

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
  Hi all,

On my Sony Vaio laptop I have freshly installed Ubuntu 12.04 and now
it won't suspend. When I close the lid it doesn't go into suspend
mode. When I leave the lid open and choose suspend from the desktop
the srceen turns off and then comes back up prompting for me to sign
  in again.

I already tried to disable wake on lan in my bios, but my bios doesn't
  even has such a function.

Read on the internet somewhere that somebody fixed it by clearing his
.config directory. Tried that, but doesn't do the trick for me.

Let me attach my syslog contents after trying to suspend.

I see it saying: "Some devices failed to suspend", and after that it
  seems to wakeup again.

Somebody any idea what might be the problem here?

  Thanks in advance!
