Re: [Bug 1235123] Re: [PACKARD BELL BV EasyNote MH36] suspend/resume failure

Hello Christopher,

I tried and downloaded .deb packages for what I think is upstream kernel. I
installed
linux-headers-3.12.0-031200rc4-generic_3.12.0-031200rc4.201310061735_i386.deb
linux-image-3.12.0-031200rc4-generic_3.12.0-031200rc4.201310061735_i386.deb

and then ran the machine with this kernel on. The issue persists but I did
not change the tags on the bug because I'm not sure this is the proper
kernek and I performed the proper test. Each time I turn on the machine I
get a message stating that packages are not up-to-date. If I perform an
apt-get install -f I get linux-headers-3.12.0-031200rc4-generic to be
removed, I think because of unsatisfied dependencies. Is what I did enough
to say I tested the upstream kernel?

In order to specify more precisely what happens on my machine, when I try
to put it on suspend everything seems to work, but when I try to wake it up
it actually starts a shutdown and... well, shuts dow. If I turn it on back
again it starts normally, but from scratch.

I hope this helps,
have a nice day

Marco
