Title:
Turning system off: Unable to handle kernel paging request

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired

Bug description:
Sometimes when I reboot, other times when I turn system off, I'm
  getting message like:

BUG: Unable to handle kernel paging request at ffffc900111d6000 ...

Looking at the address I have seen that it is not always the same, when I turn off the system, each time I turn off or reboot and see this behavior, the address shown has changed . I've got at least these addresses, one address per time the behavior has been seen:
  ffffc900111d6000
  ffffc900110ca600
  ffffc900111dc600
  ffffc900110bd000
  ffffc900110da600
and perhaps these are not the only ones.

After this message (BUG: Unable ...) there is shown a lot of trace
info that stop with a message like "end of trace" or something
similar, and after a pause of few seconds, again a lot of trace info
is shown ending again with a message like "end of trace". It is done
for some times untill it "apparently" does no more, "apparently" it
hangs on. I say "apparently" because I haven't been patient to wait
more than 2 minutes, then I hard turn off by pressing the power button
  during 5 seconds.

Every time it happens, when I turn on next time, I see a lot o orphan
i-nodes being repared in my /home partition.

I can see these messages at the beginning and at the power down because in my grub.cfg I have no "ro quiet ..." text in the kernel line, I mean in the menuentry, the one that begins:
  linux	/vmlinuz-3.2.0-30-generic root=UUID=.....

  More data: I have:
ubuntu 12.04 with kernel linux 3.2.0-30-generic 64 bits
  laptop dell studio xps 16
  4 GB RAM

Let me know if you need more info to solve this.
  Thanks in advance
