IRDA-Devices are not created by default (ircomm: 161-0

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Expired
Status in “linux-source-2.6.17” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
After Installing Dapper at an Thinkpad T23 IRDA works, however the
devices in /dev/ are missing to establish for example a serial
  connection via irda.

  Solution:
  Create the devices by hand:
  # sudo mknod /dev/ircomm0 c 161 0

However this needs to be done after every reboot of ubuntu.
