There has been no response on the kernel platform driver mailing list.
This was the email I sent.

Can we do anything to get some response?

Title:
compal-laptop reports bluetooth device, even if there is none

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Triaged

Bug description:
Reporting as instructed by stgraber on IRC:

I found this on a Dell Mini 10v, which can optionally be equipped with
a bluetooth module. I can assure you that it does NOT have that
  optional module.

compal-laptop always detects a bluetooth device on this machine, although it has none.
