[Bug 1241495] Re: Cypress APA I2C Trackpad not detected in Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit

Sorry, I am a complete fool. Fixed by adding these lines to
/etc/modules:

i2c-i801
i2c-dev
chromeos-laptop
cyapa

Title:
Cypress APA I2C Trackpad not detected in Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Following the instructions @ https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingTouchpadDetection:
    Laptop model: Acer C710 Chromebook
Manufacturer of the Touchpad: Cypress APA I2C Trackpad
When the symptom first appeared: Never worked from clean install of Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit

Touchpad has not worked since clean install of Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit.
External mouse (Microsoft [I know, I'm sorry.] Arc Touch Mouse) works
  fine. I'll attach `dmesg`, `/proc/bus/input/devices` and
`/var/log/Xorg.0.log` as according to the instructions.

  Additionally, I've run `ubuntu-bug linux`, `/proc/version_signature`
  says: "Ubuntu 3.11.0-12.19-generic 3.11.3", `lsb_release -rd` says:
  "Description: Ubuntu 13.10, Release: 13.10" and I've attached `lspci
  -vnvn.log`.

  The Long Story
  ==============
I've used the Acer C710 Chromebook to run ChrUbuntu 12.04, upgraded through to 13.04 and very briefly 13.10. The Cypress APA Trackpad has been widely panned and in my personal experience, "barely works" is a kind way of describing this worthless hardware.

Today, I jumpered the hardware firmware write-protect described @
  http://johnlewis.ie/pre-built-coreboot-firmware-for-chromebooks/,
flashed it with coreboot / seabios and performed a clean install of
Ubuntu 13.10 64-bit. That's when the trackpad went from "barely
  working" to not being detected.

I appreciate anyone looking into this and just holler if I can provide
  more information!
