[Bug 1242552] Re: btrfs filesystem balance <device> <path> results in Kernel BUG

Already installed the kernel .debs.

Just need to get home and force restart the machine, because the balance
kernel bug stops server from restarting using normal methods. Need to
use "finger in button" method :)

Will update when tested.

Title:
btrfs filesystem balance <device> <path> results in Kernel BUG

Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
Added a new device to an existing btrfs volume.
Running a balance operation results in the Kernel BUG attached.
From a few quick Google Searches, it appears to be a know bug with the specific Kernel Version in use and a patch with the fix should have been added to 3.11.4.

  Kind regards,
  Márcio Santos
