[Bug 798086] Re: Occasional "The disk drive for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 is not ready yet or not present" on system startup
Is there any word on this issue being fixed or having a patch
implemented into version 13.x Ubuntu? This bug is really frustrating
Lol! I used Windows OS for years and hated all the quirks, updates,
viruses it attracts and finally decided to switch to Ubuntu to avoid all
that.. and now there's issues right out of the box after installation.
:( I'm no linux professional either, and most pros on support forums
give vague replies, shoot command lines to run that goes over my
head...Most hear the "selling point" of Ubuntu as being more stable and
such than Windows, but I'm not so sure now Lol! Was going to drop
Ubuntu for Linux Mint, but apparently that has same issue as well. >_<.
I'd hate to go be stuck on Winblows OS again.. gah! :P Come on crew,
make me/us noobs and soccer moms proud. :)

Title:
Occasional "The disk drive for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 is not ready yet
or not present" on system startup
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
On a newly installed 11.04 on a Samsung N130 netbook, I occasionally
(i.e. every 5th booting) get the following message displayed during
startup:
The disk drive for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 is not ready yet or not present
Continue to wait; or Press S to skip mounting or M for manual recovery
When it happens, when the boot is over and I log in, sometimes (not always), swap is not mounted.
