[Bug 721896] Re: kswapd0 100% cpu usage
Running fresh Ubuntu 13.10 on a new Macbook Air, I'm facing this
problem.
My user home is encrypted, maybe it is related?! When I open too many
sites with Firefox, kswapd0 goes "crazy", with Google Chrome, it does
not happen that much.
BTW, this problem persist since middle of 2011 ???
Should I call Linus?! lol Kidding...
Best,
Thiago

Title:
kswapd0 100% cpu usage
Status in The Linux Kernel:
New
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After the running the latest ubuntu for at least 2 weeks, I've noticed that kswapd0 started using 100% CPU on one of my cores.
However, I have enough of RAM and not using swap (Swap: 11876344k total, 62336k used).
The only thing I can do to remove the problem is reboot the system.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS server version without any kernel modifications.
