[Bug 1245165] Re: Ubuntu 13.10 boot only with attached power cable.
Graziano, as per http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/support/install-
update-activate/pro-update-history an update is available for your BIOS.
If you update to this following
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BiosUpdate , does it change anything?
If not, could you please both specify what happened, and provide the output of the following terminal command:
sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date
Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so
posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful.

affected hardware: Surface pro
No login possible, when the power cable is not attached.
Symptom: If the power cable not attached, ubuntu goes in freeze status
after login screen is visible.

I have installed the final 13.10 Release.
Workaround: Ubuntu must started with attached power cable.
