[Bug 1245327] Re: [Acer Aspire 5750-9668] Laptop shuts down when the power cord is adjusted
Joseph Salisbury, when I adjust the power cord, it doesn't lose power.
It causes it to receive a shut down event as if I clicked my user name
-> Shut Down through the GUI, as I see the Xubuntu shutdown sequence.
The system does have a battery that functions without AC power.
This isn't an issue where the computer loses AC power and it just
immediately hard shuts down b/c the battery is dead.

Title:
[Acer Aspire 5750-9668] Laptop shuts down when the power cord is
adjusted
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
What is expected to happen is when one adjusts the power cord slightly
is the computer doesn't shutdown.
What happens instead is looks like it received a shutdown event.
Previously, when I was using an HDD, a message would pop up asking if
I wanted to shutdown, which I didn't. However, now that I'm using an
SSD, it just immediately starts shutting down without my being able to
either prevent the event altogether, or say no. As well, no
configuration option exists to adjust this in Power Options, etc.
