[Bug 1244501] Re: Regression: audio stopped working after upgrade to 13.10
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1239233 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1239233
It actually keeps happening: the output device gets changed to HDMI on
its own once in a while. I don't have a Raring environment right now;
I'll try to figure something out, though.
Also, I don't think it's a duplicate of bug #1239233: that bug is
talking about problems with playback over HDMI, while my problem is that
HDMI is being used at all (I only have built-in speakers, so I'm pretty
sure HDMI is not what I want).

Title:
Regression: audio stopped working after upgrade to 13.10
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
After the upgrade, sound stopped working for me. The volume would
always be set to 100% after booting, though I couldn't hear anything.
I went to the audio settings, and discovered that the hardware profile
was set to "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output". Changing it to "Analog
Stereo Output" fixed the problem.
