Title:
DVD R/W hotplug not recognized on Dell Latitude E6320
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
I have a E6320 with a swappable DVD/CD reader/writer (swaps with the
second battery). Under precise it's not recognized when it's hot
plugged it's not recognized. The computer needs to be restarted for
it to be recognized. If it's in place when the system is booted, then
it's recognized fine.
Hot plugging worked unter natty and oneiric (I didn't have this system
before that).
WORKAROUND: If I unplug and replug the device once it's been booted
with it, then it works.
