Title:
/proc/cpuinfo bad cpu speed detection
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.24
I have a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (stock speed : 9*266MHz=2.4GHz) running @ 7*400MHz=2.8GHz.
dmidecode reports the good settings but the /proc/cpuinfo file is wrong and indicates 3.6GHz (stock ratio x overclocked fsb).
The motherboard is a Gygabyte GA-965P-DS3.
