My Quickcam Web (046d:0850) does not work in Ubuntu. It also has a microphone inbuilt.

  I have installed:
  qc-usb-messeger-source
  qc-usb-source
  qc-usb-utils

lsusb: Bus 001 Device 002: ID 046d:0850 Logitech, Inc. QuickCam Web

I have found this page: http://www.informatik.uni-oldenburg.de/~delwi/quickcam/
The Quickcam in the picture looks identical to mine
